Matt Beaulieu, Resort Manager at Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital at South Saunders

Born and raised in Vermont, Matt moved to North Carolina in the winter of 1997.

He spent his high school years in Wilmington North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Always having at least two or three family pets growing up, Matt finally adopted two dogs and two cats of his own while in school. After realizing how much he enjoyed having pets of his own, and how much they meant to him, he sought out a job as a veterinary assistant at a local animal hospital to do what he could to possibly help others and their own pets.

Once finished with school, Matt took an office job in Raleigh, NC. Far outside of his normal routine, he decided to follow his passion and to get back to what he loved, the animals. In late 2010, Matt began working with Dr. George Ghneim at another local animal hospital here in Raleigh, NC. Matt and his wife Meredith have acquired quite the crew of animals since then, including their beloved boxers Logan and Cora, lab mix Wren, quirky cat Grim, and two rats, Finch and Skiba. Together they are all very excited to be part of the Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital team, and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
